When Yakima Chief Hops announced its Ales for ALS hop blend, we immediately thought “West Coast IPA.” With the combination of Citra, Talus, HBC 630, HBC 1019, and Columbus, Gizmo IPA sings with a proper harmony of fruity and herbal aromas.
It pours a crystal clear, solid gold color with a sponge of foamy head. Aromatically, it is bright, ripe, and fruit forward with a touch of velvety Vienna malt. On the palate, it is decisively IPA; the aroma gives way to deeper, danker hop flavor, and the substantial dry-hop addition provides resinous texture to the firm, bitter finish.
